Installation of a Rosehill Extreme Heavy Duty LINK System was undertaken at the 195km location on the RioTinto Koodaideri Rail Project located in the harsh Pilbara region of WA.
This replaced an existing failed vulcanised crossing system and has proven the integrity and robustness of this new Rosehill Extreme Heavy Duty LINK system design.
From January 15th, 2021 to July 3rd, 2021 1,992 triple road trains, averaging 82 tonnes per triple, have moved 163,350 tones of rail ballast over the new Rosehill Extreme Heavy Duty LINK System crossing with no sign of movement or wear to the crossing panels.
Lighter versions of the LINK System are available to handle various traffic flow in metropolitan and regional areas throughout Australia, and are designed to be installed on narrow, standard and broad gauge track.
